Ruby Vesture Exports, originally founded as Genesis Trendsetters in 2001 by Aysha Ruby, has come a long way from its humble beginnings in the fashion industry. The company’s journey started with a single, visionary initiative — the creation of first ever modest fashion brand in India, Mehar Hijab, which later, post covid, evolved into Reveil Fashion by Choice. The brand was inspired by Ruby’s passion for fashion, design, and empowering women to embrace their individuality while adhering to their feminine values upon their own choices and not over any impositions or obligations. Reveil means awakening, which better describes the primary mission of the brand.

The Genesis of Mehar Hijab


In 2001, while working as both a Model and Designer, Aysha Ruby recognized a gap in the market for stylish, yet modest fashion that catered to the needs of common women. This led her to create Mehar Hijab, a modest fashion brand that focused on offering a wide range of elegant and contemporary hijabs, specifically aimed to provide fashionable yet comfortable choices for women who wanted to preserve their modesty within her attitude.

Genesis Trendsetters began as a small-scale business, with Ruby personally designing the hijabs, carefully selecting materials, and tailoring them to meet the needs of her customers. Through dedication, creativity, and a keen understanding of cultural nuances, Mehar Hijab quickly gained popularity. The brand stood out for its unique designs, premium quality, and commitment to the empowerment of women, both in terms of fashion and personal confidence. And by the end of 2017, she felt that her brand needs to be redefined to reach out to global audience, it needed meticulous planning and soon after covid gave her enough time for the shift of style and purpose of the brand,

because she felt, covid was bringing the world together at one zone, the zone of internet and connectivity, where political borders where no longer boundaries, the world was becoming smaller and much reachable, and that set the stage right for the launch of her brand- REVEIL.
